
Individual Support Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to work with vulnerable adults as a Support Worker. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to work full-time while studying a Certificate III in Individual Support.
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with their daily living activities, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall well-being. You will work under the supervision of experienced professionals, learning essential skills and gaining practical experience in providing person-centered care to a diverse range of clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting individuals with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Supporting individuals in maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Fostering a positive and empowering atmosphere that promotes independence and dignity.
- Providing companionship and engaging in social activities with clients.
- Helping individuals with meal preparation and nutritional support.
- Observing and reporting any changes in clients' physical or mental conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individual care plans.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records related to client care.

- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Show empathy, patience, and compassion.
- Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Hold strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Be flexible to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.
- Be willing to learn and follow instructions from experienced professionals.
Additionally, the following essential requirements must be met:
- Hold a driver's license and reliable transport.
- Be able to provide a National Police Check.
- Able to obtain a Blue/Yellow Card.
- Provide documentation of vaccinations, including those related to Flu/Covid-19 if required.
Working with our organization offers a dedicated Field Officer for full mentoring & support during your employment, as well as access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and a large network of staff overseeing your work. To be eligible you must be an Australian citizen, Permanent resident, or hold a valid visa that allows you to work and undertake training in Australia.
