Job Title: Compliance & Risk Management Professional

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance & Risk Management professional to lead our organization's risk and compliance strategy. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and implementing effective risk management frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Risk Management Frameworks: Design, implement, and monitor organizational-wide risk management frameworks to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Expertise: Provide strategic advice to executives and the Board on compliance matters, including AML/CTF obligations, AUSTRAC reporting, and regulatory licensing requirements.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead a team of compliance officers and provide guidance on risk management and compliance matters.
  • Cybersecurity & Information Security: Partner with IT and Privacy functions to strengthen cybersecurity and information security oversight.
  • Internal & External Audits: Drive internal and external audits, contractor/vendor compliance, and regulatory reporting.
  • Reporting & Governance: Report to the CFO, CEO, and Board on compliance trends, emerging risks, and continuous improvement opportunities.
About You

We seek an experienced Compliance & Risk Management professional with:

  • 8-15+ years' experience in risk, compliance, or regulatory roles in highly regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CTF obligations, AUSTRAC reporting, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in governance, WHS, workers' compensation, and return-to-work obligations.
  • Able to lead teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • High integrity, strong analytical mindset, and hands-on approach.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CAMS, ICA Diploma) and/or tertiary qualifications in Risk, Compliance, Law, Business, or WHS are highly regarded.
