Senior Manager, Technology Risk and Compliance Join to apply for the Senior Manager, Technology Risk and Compliance role at Reserve Bank of Australia Senior Manager, Technology Risk and Compliance Join to apply for the Senior Manager, Technology Risk and Compliance role at Reserve Bank of Australia2 year fixed term contract with possibility to extend Newly created Line 1 risk leadership position that offers a unique opportunity to grow this critical capability within the RBA IT Department Are you ready to join the RBA IT Department and play a pivotal role in transforming risk management at the Reserve Bank of Australia?We are seeking an experienced risk professional to join us in a strategic Line 1 role, supporting IT Department leaders to uplift risk culture and progressively mature our risk management practices.
Reporting to the Head of Technology Strategy, Risk and Performance, this newly created role is designed to enhance our management of material risks and ensure we stay ahead in an ever-evolving risk landscape.
This role would suit someone who has previously held Head of or Director level roles responsible for Technology Risk.
As a Senior Manager you will: Coach and advise departmental leaders to facilitate a strong risk culture, risk awareness and action-oriented ownership of risk throughout the department.
Influence and coach departmental leaders to own and drive risk transformation within their respective business areas.
Influence the departments to implement (meet) a target uplift in risk management practices.
Influence the departments adoption of the enterprise risk and compliance management framework.
Provide subject matter expertise into the development and implementation of the Departments' business plan, considering material and emerging risks.
Critique subsequent investment prioritisation and deprioritisation, ensuring appropriate risk assessment.
Provide subject matter expertise, coaching, training and/or guidance to support the business areas to implement (meet) a target uplift in risk management practices.
Ensure business operations and risk management practices align to the frameworks, policies, standards, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and risk appetite of the RBA.
Provide senior risk expertise in the identification, assessment and management of risk and controls to support the achievement of business objectives.
Define and implement relevant management or risk appetite metrics, in line with risk appetite.
Lead, guide and develop individuals and teams to effectively achieve area outcomes.
Partner with stakeholders across the business to uplift capability and identify and enable more efficient and effective risk practices.
Co-establish and contribute to a community of practice to share best practice and, as necessary, allocate resource to areas of highest need.
Work collaboratively with our Enterprise Risk and Compliance Team (Line 2) and Internal Audit to provide integrated assurance to the Board and Board Audit & Risk Committee.
Work collaboratively with our Enterprise PMO and project delivery teams to ensure risk in change is managed.
Support the business to prepare papers for relevant Board and Management Committee meetings.
Your Background15 years + experience in a Line 1 or Line 2 operational risk and compliance role, preferably within Financial Services.
Demonstrated experience as a subject matter expert in technology and cyber risk (including risk in change), supporting the learning and development of business stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability in supporting a business to strengthen risk culture and risk management practices.
Demonstrated experienced as a people leader, supporting the learning and development of a team of risk professionals.
Experience in design, build and implementation of risk and compliance frameworks, coaching and training.
Understanding of Bank-wide (or similar organisation) risk and compliance management frameworks, policies and standards.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in technology, economics, finance, risk, compliance or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated negotiation and resolution management skills.
Considerable C-Suite stakeholder management experience, including ability to influence.
