Geology Assistant Role Overview

This position is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project and support its success.

  • Reporting to the Senior Geology Assistant, your main responsibility will be to provide quality geology technical services and collaborate with the broader mining team to maximize operational returns.

The role involves coordinating daily work activities with the Geology team, assisting with production activities such as ore mark-ups, ore spotting, and sampling, participating in RC drilling activities including sampling and rock chip collection, handling diamond drill core processing, cutting, and sampling, collaborating with project geologists and drillers to resolve drilling or core-related issues, maintaining QAQC standards in sample handling and data recording, managing daily and weekly sample dispatches to the assay laboratory, and keeping work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Western Australian driver's license
  • Forklift certificate (desirable)
  • Apply First Aid certificate (desirable)
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
