About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Airtasker Pty. As a key member of our Platform Excellence team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of services.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure real-time visibility into system performance.
  • Work closely with the Platform Excellence team to build out automation and tooling to support infrastructure operations.
  • Develop and maintain robust processes for emergency response and incident management.
  • Collaborate with system architects to improve performance, scaling, and system security.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud infrastructure, networking, and security.
  • Experience managing, administering, and maintaining multiple Kubernetes clusters.
  • Industry experience using Terraform to manage infrastructure as code.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Kotlin, C, C++, Java, Python, NodeJS, Go, or Ruby.
  • A first principles approach applying engineering fundamentals to real-world problems.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
  • Ability to debug and optimize code, and automate routine tasks.
  • Good working knowledge around system security issues and incident management.
