As a Senior Service Engineer, you'll play a critical role in driving our cloud infrastructure and operations forward.

Microsoft's Cloud Infrastructure and Operations (CO+I) is the backbone of our cloud services. We're responsible for designing, building, and operating our global datacenters, managing infrastructure design, equipment procurement, construction delivery, and more. Our team focuses on smart growth, automation, data-driven engineering, cost-effectiveness, and environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage advanced technical expertise to coordinate multiple work streams and resources in complex crisis situations.
  • Respond to incidents during regular on-call rotations, identifying impact, troubleshooting, and deploying fixes to resolve root causes.
  • Drive post-mortems and share insights to identify opportunities for prevention.
  • Maintain expertise in service and system design, interactions between technology layers, and dependencies at scale.
  • Stay up-to-date with the evolving technology landscape and drive the adoption of innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, and 5 years of technical experience in critical environments.
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of technical experience working within Data Center Operations or distributed systems.
  • Management Information Systems (MIS), or other industry or product-specific Engineering Certifications.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
