Credit Control Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Control Officer/Credit Controller to join our close-knit Finance team at Edward Jacobs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing debts, reducing past-due and high-risk loans, and ensuring timely payments from our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage overdraft and delinquent accounts to prevent future payment issues
- Aid in the upkeep of agreements reached in the Debtor Management System
- Regulate a large volume ledger, maintaining debtor information and credit limitations
- Reconcile intricate finances with attention to detail
- Internally monitor and manage credit limits with the proper staff
- Reconcile extensive accounting and maintain a keen eye for detail
- Provide professional advice in response to inquiries, identifying the best solutions
- Restrict account access when necessary
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a solid background in credit control, strong communication and organizational skills, and experience working on complex billings using a medium to large ERP system. You will also be a professional with a strong work ethic and a preference for corporate environments.
Qualifications
- More than 3 years of financial work experience, preferably in accounting or financial supervision
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or diploma (Bachelor's preferred)
- High-class verbal and written communication skills
- Basic software skills, including Xero and Excel
