Credit Control Specialist

MAYDAY Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Credit Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts receivable function.
Key Responsibilities- Verify and process new customer accounts in accordance with company SOPs, working manuals, and policies.
- Perform periodic credit and compliance reviews on existing customers.
- Follow up on overdue invoices and send customer outstanding invoice statements.
- Process customer payments and ad hoc AR reconciliation.
- Escalate issues to Finance and Operations Head for resolution.
- Monitor debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors DSO.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Accounts Receivable function and processes, customer experience, and service to the business.
- Provide credit analytics and internal business partnering.
- Provide overall support of the sales team and back office team to meet company sales targets by answering phones, checking and replying to emails, greeting guests and couriers as required.
- 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Professional phone manner.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Experience working within a busy, fast-paced environment.
