We are seeking a highly skilled Preconstruction Manager to take a project from conceptual phase through full estimate.
- Prepare accurate time, cost and labor estimates for construction projects by analyzing project drawings, specifications and RFP's.
- Secure new projects and obtain quotes from subcontractors and vendors.
- Develop preliminary construction schedules for estimating and preconstruction purposes.
- Establish preliminary budgets for projects.
- Develop relationships with subcontractors and vendors to solicit bids.
- Participate in interview process as required.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including subcontractors, owners, architects, engineers, and project team members.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of commercial construction practices and procedures.
Key qualifications include:
- Previous commercial construction precon / estimating experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating software and systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Charlotte area construction market knowledge is preferred but not required.
