Medical Officer Position

The opportunity to work as a medical officer in the Emergency Department exists, providing high-quality medical services under supervision.

This role is integral to the multidisciplinary healthcare team, offering the chance to supervise junior doctors and participate in a rotating roster of days, evenings, nights, and weekends.


Job Requirements
  • Be currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia with an MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • Have at least five years of postgraduate experience, preferably in emergency medicine, or demonstrate the ability to be the night in charge senior doctor and supervise junior staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this position.
  • Participation in after-hours roster commitments and rotations to other emergency departments is expected.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in or relevant to emergency medicine or significant experience in emergency medicine are necessary for this role.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and coordinate services across multiple providers.
  • Good leadership and teamwork skills are required for success in this position.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills will be beneficial.
