
Multidisciplinary Emergency Department Support Specialist

As a key member of our Emergency Department team, we are seeking an experienced Telephonist to support medical and nursing staff in providing exceptional patient care.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing clerical tasks, coordinating communication with patients, families, and staff members, and ensuring the smooth operation of the department.
- Manage administrative tasks and coordinate communication with patients, families, and colleagues
- Interview and record patient attendance using hospital systems (IPM and Electronic Medical Records)
- Admit patients to wards and operate the switchboard and paging system after hours
Upon training, the Telephonist will have extensive knowledge of hospital policies and procedures related to patient classifications and admission types.
