We are seeking a senior cyber defence engineer to join our team and take on a pivotal role in our expanding cybersecurity department.
The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a rare combination of hands-on operations and strategic input. You will be responsible for covering escalated incidents, owning the SIEM, fine-tuning and automating the defence environment, and collaborating with the cyber team.
- Proven experience in SOC or cyber engineering, responding to and resolving escalated cyber incidents
- Strong technical skills in SIEM (preferably Microsoft Sentinel), KQL, and automation tools like Logic Apps or Power Automate
- Skilled in Python scripting, log analysis, and working across large data sets to isolate problems and deliver solutions
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, shaping what "good" looks like
- Excellent communication skills, must be able to explain technical issues and influence decision-making
- Comfortable balancing day-to-day operational work with long-term strategic planning
