About the Role
This position plays a key role in providing direct administrative support to the section and subject matter expertise in an administrative discipline.
You will supervise, coach, mentor, and train the administration team to ensure they develop appropriate skills and knowledge to be effective in providing business support as an enabling and value-adding group.
Working collaboratively across Council, you will champion our purpose of Growing Townsville and deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville Community.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and support to Administration Officers.
- Supervise and develop the skills and knowledge of others within a team environment.
- Develop and manage customer relationships, promoting a culture of customer-centricity and personal accountability.
- Reshape how we deliver services to maximise value.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of five years in an administration role, supporting a multi-disciplinary team with demonstrated expertise in an administrative, financial, legal, or analytical discipline.
- Supervisory experience leading an administration team is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
- Qualifications commensurate with Certificate IV in Business or similar competency.
- A current 'C' class drivers' licence.
- Proficiency in council products, including but not limited to, ECM/CES/Marvel/Property and Rating.
