About the Role

We are seeking an experienced People and Development Specialist to join our team at Clayton Utz. As a key member of our People and Development team, you will play a critical role in driving the delivery of people initiatives and operations across the partner and employee life-cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide trusted advice to our partners, managers, and employees on firm policies and employee relations matters
  • Deliver cyclical activities such as promotions, annual performance and remuneration review, and talent identification to client groups
  • Initiate recruitment and workforce planning activities to support business growth and development
  • Partner with our Learning and Development team to identify individuals for excellence programs and other projects
  • Develop and implement culture and engagement initiatives to enhance the employee experience
  • Coach partners, managers, and employees to support their professional development and growth
  • Champion the firm's diversity and inclusion strategy to promote a culture of inclusivity and respect
  • Promote the firm's health and wellbeing offerings to support the physical and mental health of our employees
  • Project work and change management to support business transformation and growth

Requirements

  • Significant relevant HR generalist experience in a similar business partnering role in a complex, professional, and highly client-focused environment
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with key and senior stakeholders
  • Ability to drive projects and decisions through to completion
  • Experience working within the legal profession or in professional services is advantageous
