Unlock the Potential of Machine Learning in Trading

IMC Financial Markets is seeking an experienced Quantitative Researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of high-to-mid frequency delta one trading strategies and predictive models for the APAC markets.

As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for performing large-scale data analysis to derive statistically profitable predictions of market behavior. Your predictions will inform our trading decisions, and improvements will have a high and visible impact across the office.

You will work closely with traders, software developers, and hardware engineers to identify areas for improvement and implement new strategies. Our team is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what is possible with machine learning in trading, and we are looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage deep learning techniques to improve prediction quality in a trading context
  • Collaborate with feature engineers and traders to ensure the feature set is crafted and used to maximum effect
  • Develop and improve sampling, weighting, cost, target, hyperparameters, and network architecture to suit a range of problems and data presentations
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in industry and academia and contribute to the growth of the team
  • Mentor and grow the skills of more junior colleagues in the space

Requirements:

  • Graduate or postgraduate study from a top university, majoring in machine learning, statistics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a quantitative modeler, with specific experience in the high-to-mid frequency delta one space
  • Strong programming experience in at least one language and a mainstream deep learning framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other)
  • Deep understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of CNN, RNN, LSTM, and transformers
