About the Role

We are seeking part-time and casual Community Care Employees to join our team at Northern Coalfields Community Care Association Limited. As a Community Care Employee, you will work independently to provide services to our elderly consumers in the community.

Your responsibilities will include tasks and activities that support the consumer's independence in daily activities and living skills such as personal care, domestic duties, transport, shopping, respite, and access to the community. You will help our consumers live the life they choose.

Requirements
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (desired but not essential)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Work availability for at least three days a week
  • Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with consumers, families, and co-workers
  • A genuine interest in helping the elderly
  • Ability to follow a set task list or care plan for each consumer
  • Capacity to perform home care tasks satisfactorily and within guidelines
  • Knowledge of WHS procedures and safe work practices
  • Understanding of boundaries required to maintain professional relationships with clients
  • Current driver's license with a registered, insured, and reliable car
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness, health, and resilience to fulfill the demands of the role
  • Evidence of having the 2023 Influenza and Covid-19 Vaccinations (3 doses)
  • Police Check suitable for aged care

An hourly rate of $34.17 per hour will be provided, plus relevant allowances, loadings, and superannuation.
