About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive business growth through strategic underwriting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain profitability by selecting, analyzing, and servicing accounts based on Cowbell Cyber Insurance guidelines.
  • Negotiate pricing, coverages, and terms with insurance brokers.
  • Servicing of renewal business throughout the year while upholding customer service standards.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to support their goals and strengthen partnerships with brokers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the cyber insurance marketplace and current trends in the industry.
  • Identify areas where Cowbell's unique capabilities provide a competitive advantage and develop processes to support these.
  • Participate in determining our approach to emerging threats, loss trends, marketplace changes, and other trends in cyber risks.
  • Partner with the Engineering and Data Science teams to improve technology and deliverables for policyholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the team on coverage questions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 4+ years of underwriting Cyber underwriting experience.
  • Technical expertise and product knowledge in Commercial Insurance.
  • Demonstrate ability to build a profitable book of cyber business.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, underwriting, and pricing strategies.
  • Superb sales and marketing skills; must be able to demonstrate successful agency and broker management, including building, maintaining, and managing producer and customer relationships.
  • Proven ability to successfully negotiate on all levels and develop broker relationships.
  • Strong track record of service orientation and teamwork.
