This is an exciting opportunity for junior trainees to gain a well-balanced introduction into General Surgery.
The Unaccredited Trainee in General Surgery will work at Moruya Hospital, providing day-to-day management of general surgical inpatients and on-call services for Eurobodalla hospitals.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, judgement, and expertise, as well as excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Prioritization of workloads and flexibility to meet changing situations are essential in this demanding and unpredictable clinical environment.
- Rotating daily through on-call duties, managing acute general surgical emergencies, and assisting in elective and emergency operating lists and outpatient clinics.
- Developing and maintaining a high level of skill and knowledge in General Surgery.
The successful candidate will have at least four years' postgraduate experience in public hospital service and be registered with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
