Junior General Surgery Specialist

This position offers a well-rounded experience in general surgery for junior trainees seeking a balanced introduction to the field.
The General Surgical Department is staffed by 2 unaccredited trainee registrars, providing an ideal environment for training and development.
Responsibilities include managing general surgical inpatients, providing on-call service for Eurobodalla hospitals, and participating in elective and emergency operating lists.
Key qualifications include an MBBS or equivalent qualification, current registration with the Medical Board of Australia, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
Requirements also include excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to prioritise workloads and display a flexible approach to meet changing situations.
- Manage daily ward rounds and contribute to the efficient running of the hospital
- Collaborate with medical staff to provide high-quality patient care
- Develop strong communication and problem-solving skills through regular interactions with patients and colleagues
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to decision-making processes
