Position Overview

We are seeking casual Assistants in Nursing to support our team at Lithgow Health Service. Your role involves assisting in patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Midwives, supporting acute care activities, and contributing to the nursing care plan. You will work alongside a dedicated team supported by Registered and Enrolled Nurses, with educational and support opportunities provided by Clinical Educators.

Candidate Requirements
  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care)
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Person-centered approach to patient care
  • Effective communication skills
  • Recent experience in an acute care setting
  • Immunisation compliance (Category A)
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, and nights across 7 days
