Industrial Fire Training Equipment Specialist

Salary:$2,735.00 - $2,993.00 per fortnight
About the Role:
The Safety Pad Operator plays a crucial role in assisting with tasks and functions associated with the effective operations and maintenance of the fire pad and operational training equipment and facilities. You will liaise with supervisors to support and coordinate the transport of vehicles and equipment; manage the set up and deconstruction of firefighting training scenario containers and props; perform general maintenance and repairs of props and equipment; and manage safe handling and control of fuel, gas cylinders, and wastewater systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Your key accountabilities include undertaking setup of container and training props, personal protective equipment, including maintenance on nominated equipment and systems to ensure they are maintained and comply with relevant safety standards. You will also ensure comprehensive workplace health and safety procedures and compliance associated with an industrial environment to ensure the health and safety of training participants, contractors, and/or visitors. Additionally, you will undertake designated functions such as fuel controller or breathing apparatus controller in a team environment responsible for delivering training sessions.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a C Class driver's licence (non-restricted). It would be highly desirable to possess and/or provide evidence of a current forklift license. A medium rigid licence is also desirable but not essential to the role.
