Position Overview:

The Clinical Practice and Care Advisor will report directly to the National Clinical Practice and Care Manager. This role is pivotal in supporting the Service Delivery Team by ensuring the effective application of Claro's Clinical Governance Framework, which encompasses Quality, Risk, and Safety Management Systems tailored for our aged and disability clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the regional expert on clinical issues, including care standards, incident management, complaints handling, and risk assessment.
  • Develop and oversee the execution of personalized customer support plans in collaboration with service delivery teams.
  • Assess the clinical support requirements of clients in their residences and supported living environments.
  • Engage with stakeholders to enhance customer care planning, risk evaluations, and contribute to the formulation of behavior support strategies as necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with staff to ensure quality practices are integrated into support worker activities and all organizational initiatives.
  • Work alongside the learning and development team to ensure training programs are clinically robust and align with principles of independence, choice, control, and person-centered care.
  • Assist in the formulation and review of Claro's clinical policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Current AHPRA Nursing Registration.
  • Extensive experience in providing clinical guidance to service delivery teams.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience within the aged care or disability services sector.
  • Strong written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proven capacity to work independently and autonomously.
  • Effective time management skills to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Commitment to Claro's Philosophy, Values, and Mission.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Community and/or Rehabilitation Nursing.
  • Experience working within the Disability Sector.

Additional Requirements:

  • National Police Records Check.
  • NDIS Worker Screening or willingness to obtain.
  • Proof of work rights.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
