Job Description

KU Children's Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Relief Educator and Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our Permanent Relief Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity and high-quality education and care for children attending our services when a regular staff member is absent.

About the Role

We are looking for a fully qualified Diploma Educator and Teacher who is enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced in delivering high-quality early education in a play-based setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for working across assigned regions, including Sydney's CBD, Inner West, and Eastern Suburbs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality early education and care to children in a play-based setting
  • Work collaboratively with the Permanent Relief Team to ensure continuity and high-quality education and care
  • Develop and implement engaging and inclusive programs that meet the needs of children
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures

Requirements

  • ACCEQA recognised Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates
  • Completed training in Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • NESA Accreditation (Teacher qualified)
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
  • Drivers License and own vehicle (travel allowance included)
