This is a challenging role that requires strategic oversight and the ability to solve complex problems using financial data and systems architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. This includes preparing statutory financial statements in line with AASB and IFRS standards.
  • Provide support for external audits and coordinate with auditors. You will also be responsible for managing the finance systems stack, including ERP, reporting platforms, and integration tools.
  • Work closely with IT and Operations to optimize system performance, scalability, and user adoption. This includes designing and implementing automation for recurring tasks, such as reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting packs.
  • Maintain and improve robust internal controls supported by system-based processes.
Leadership & Support:
  • Lead and mentor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team members. You will also train the broader Finance team on systems, tools, and reporting workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Operations teams, responding to queries and supporting commercial decision-making. You will oversee Group consolidations and inter-company processes.

A degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is required, along with CPA or CA qualification. You should have 3-5 years' experience in accounting or finance, including 1-2+ years in a systems-heavy environment. Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance standards is essential.

About You:
  • Strong Excel skills are required, with SQL proficiency highly regarded. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are also necessary.
  • Confident working cross-functionally, especially with IT and Operations. Naturally collaborative, with strong communication skills.
  • Experience with workflow automation tools and familiarity with Xero and MYOB Acumatica are desirable. Ability to interpret APIs or contribute to integration projects.
