Full Time Payroll Accountant Role

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer/Finance Assistant to join our Finance Department in a permanent full-time capacity.
This role works year-round, with 4 weeks' annual leave and the opportunity to work in a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Payroll Manager with bi-monthly payroll processing, performing the full payroll function on rotation.
- Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations, conduct daily bank account reconciliations, and prepare/reconcile corporate credit card accounts.
- Support the month-end process, including balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow management, and assisting with the annual audit and budget preparation.
- Prepare BAS (Business Activity Statements), serve as backup for accounts receivable functions, including tuition fee billing and debtor management.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
- Experience in Synergetic is an advantage.
- Bookkeeping and accounting experience.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Business or Accounting Degree or equivalent, and may be currently completing or desiring to complete CA/CPA qualification. We offer opportunities for professional growth and development.
