Manufacturing Operatives

We are seeking manufacturing operatives to join our teams within a food production facility in Brisbane. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the manufacture of food products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic food handling tasks in accordance with Good Manufacturing and Food Safety standards.
  • Operate equipment as instructed.
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene.
  • Alert a Supervisor where there is a concern in relation to product, quality, safety or process.
  • Ensure that any provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn as intended for the entirety of shift when in the workspace and maintained at an acceptable standard.
  • Perform repetitive manual handling - ensuring that manual handling loads do not exceed 20kg for one individual, or that loads of more than 20kg are completed as a team lift.
  • Adhere to traffic management policies and procedures.
  • Stand for a prolonged period of time.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
  • Able to learn Food Safety practices, HACCP and have experience with Workplace Health and Safety principles.
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
  • Able to lift and move objects up to 20kg in some positions.
  • Availability to work weekdays & weekends, minimum 8 hour shifts.
  • Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills, including understanding of and conversational ability in the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • High levels of resilience, professionalism and work ethic.
