Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Grants Specialist to identify and secure grant opportunities that support our organisation's purpose, mission and values.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the identification of grant opportunities and develop effective relationships with funders
  2. Manage grant agreements and ensure timely reporting and acquittal
  3. Write and edit competitive grant proposal narratives
  4. Achieve agreed targets for identifying new grant sources and income generation
  5. Develop and manage grants database to ensure up-to-date interactions with funders
  6. Present compelling submissions to funders to deliver successful funding outcomes

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline including communications or non-profit studies
  • Demonstrated experience in a grant seeking role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in project management, grant administration, planning and budgeting
  • Sound knowledge of the fundraising and philanthropic landscape in Australia
