At St Michael's Grammar School, we're renowned for our exceptional education and wellbeing programs.
We're seeking a Marine Biologist to engage our students in an unforgettable journey to Heron Island as part of their VCE Unit 2 Biology curriculum.
This role requires strong leadership, initiative, and proactive approach to safety, with engaging communication skills to connect with both students and staff.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Marine Biology, sound knowledge of Heron Island's marine environment, and relevant snorkelling qualifications and recent snorkel experience at Heron Island.
We prioritize Student Safety and Wellbeing, and the successful applicant will be expected to satisfy child protection screening and adhere to our policies and code of conduct.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver educational programs on Heron Island
- Engage students in marine biology activities and experiments
- Ensure student safety and wellbeing during water-based activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology or related field
- Sound knowledge of Heron Island's marine environment
- Relevant snorkelling qualifications and recent snorkel experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
