This program is an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in marine conservation and contribute to the preservation of Cambodia's pristine marine ecosystems.

The Ocean Stewardship Program focuses on empowering local coastal communities, establishing a marine reserve, environmental education initiatives, and sustainable waste management practices across the archipelago.

As part of this program, you will collaborate with experienced professionals and contribute to conservation efforts that shape the future of Cambodia's marine ecosystems. Your work supports the management of the country's first Marine National Park and internationally recognized marine reserve, including collecting and analyzing marine survey data to support sustainable management of the region.

Beyond the technical work, your involvement promotes long-term environmental preservation and empowers local communities to thrive with their resources. This program offers the chance to explore the lower Mekong region while making a meaningful impact in marine conservation.

Key Activities
  • Trees are planted to restore habitats and support biodiversity through tree planting initiatives.
  • The coastline is protected from plastic pollution through regular coastal clean-up drives.
  • Garbage and plastic collection: Collect and responsibly dispose of waste in coastal areas.
  • Stray dog rescue and shelter: Participate in a local animal welfare initiative to improve safety and quality of life.
  • Environmental education: Teach local children and community members about environmental protection and sustainable practices.
  • Community engagement: Contribute to local development initiatives aligned with environmental protection goals.

A typical day runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, allowing for rest and rejuvenation, and includes time for meals and breaks throughout the day.
