**Role Summary**

This is a key opportunity for an experienced leader to take on the role of Station Master at North Melbourne Station.

As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for managing station staff and resources, ensuring the safe operation of passenger services, and promoting a positive customer experience.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the station, including staff supervision and resource allocation.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Coaching and mentoring staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Providing detailed reports to senior management on station performance and incidents.
  • Deploying staff resources in response to short notice absences and re-allocating rosters as required.

**Requirements**

  • Proven experience in leadership and management roles, particularly in a customer-facing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, with a strong focus on maintaining a safe working culture.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring staff, with a focus on enhancing skills and knowledge.
