About Our Team:
The Regional Assets division is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and reliability of our rail network, ensuring it remains safe and dependable for regional Queensland customers, communities, and industries.
This role is situated within the Bohle depot as part of the Resurfacing North team, which comprises four resurfacing units, each led by a Supervisor, Team Leader, five Operator Maintainers, and two Vegetation Control Officers. Together, they cover extensive regions from Rockhampton to Cairns and Townsville to Mt Isa.
Role Overview:
In this position, you will take charge of track maintenance, which includes operating and maintaining all machinery and equipment utilized by the Resurfacing team.
We are looking for self-driven Operators or Labourers with experience in operating civil or mobile plant machinery who are eager to expand their industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery in accordance with all policies and safety procedures
- Conduct regular servicing and maintenance on all on-track and auxiliary equipment
- Coordinate with the Resurfacing Supervisor regarding program requirements
- Assist tradespeople with mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance as needed
- Perform accurate and timely administrative and recording tasks
