Job Overview:

The Head of Department is a senior leadership position that oversees the curriculum development and implementation across various subject areas. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement curriculum plans in collaboration with teachers and support staff
  • Mentor and coach teachers to enhance their practice and student outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with parents and the wider school community

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Master of Teaching / Bachelor of Education / PGCE)
  • Victorian Institute of Teachers registration (or eligibility to gain)
  • Working Rights for Australia (or eligibility to gain), including Skilled Migrant Visa
