About this role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide essential care and support to our clients in their own homes.

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities, seniors, and those recovering from injuries.

As a Home Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing personal care, social support, capacity-building activities, and domestic assistance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with daily living tasks such as showering, grooming, and dressing
  • Providing companionship and social support
  • Supporting clients with learning new skills or increasing independence
  • Assisting with domestic tasks such as meal preparation and light household cleaning

Requirements:

  • Ability to speak Italian to support a client who speaks Italian
  • Reliable transportation and a comprehensively insured, registered, and well-maintained vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or a similar discipline
  • National Police Check (less than a year old if not NDIS Worker Screening Check)
  • Driver's License

Benefits:

We offer SCHADS award wages with generous allowances pro rata to the jobs attended for casual rates of a home support worker. Remuneration is divided into two sections: base rate for disability and aged care services, and then allowances and reimbursements.
