Logistics Manager Job Overview

About the Role:

  • Evaluate and optimize daily night load plans for bulk and route deliveries to minimize operational costs and enhance equipment utilization.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including drivers, subcontractors, and customers, to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze delivery opportunities and establish processes with dispatch/receiving facilities to maintain high on-time performance standards and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in logistics management within a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of load configurations, weights, and trailer allocation principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite and utilizing Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of compliance regulations, including Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), fatigue management, and mass limits.
  • A relevant qualification in logistics, business, or supply chain management (Certificate IV or above desirable).
