Synopsis

We are seeking an experienced Inclusion and Practice Specialist to join our team in Townsville. This role will provide coaching and advice on matters pertaining to quality and inclusive early childhood education and care (ECEC).

About the Role

  • This position is a key enabler of the regions practice uplift goals.
  • You will support centre teams in delivering high-quality, inclusive early learning.
  • You will engage with families and develop targeted capacity-building strategies to enhance all children's learning.
  • You will work collaboratively with the Centre Director and Educators to implement high-quality, inclusive practices.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide coaching and advice on all matters pertaining to quality and inclusive ECEC.
  2. Develop and implement targeted capacity-building strategies to enhance all children's learning.
  3. Work directly with selected centres to deliver their Quality Improvement Plan actions.
  4. Collaborate with the Teaching, Learning, and Support team to ensure targeted and intensive inclusion strategies are implemented as intended.

Requirements

  • A 4-year Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognised university.
  • Demonstrated capability of supporting and coaching teams to deliver high-quality, inclusive early learning.
  • Extensive experience in delivering high-quality, inclusive early learning (aged birth to 8 years).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of community and government networks/resources.
