Piping Engineer Job Description

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and prepare piping engineering documents, such as specifications, line lists, pipe support schedules.
  • Review and check design deliverables, including isometrics, plans, and plant layout drawings.
  • Perform stress analysis and optimize layouts for piping systems.
  • Provide advice on pipe routing and equipment layout to the design team.
  • Review vendor data related to piping engineering activities.
  • Manage communication of piping design information between teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support for improvement, maintenance, and modification.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

  • 5-10 years of experience in design engineering roles.
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgy or Minerals Processing).
  • Mining and/or Metals industry experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently independently and in a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
