Job Description

Role Overview

The Disability Services Officer is a key role within the Department for Human Services, responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities. This role is accountable to the Team Supervisor and requires a strong commitment to providing person-centered support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver an appropriate standard of care, including personal and home care, and person-centered support to individuals with disabilities.
  • Undertake tasks and participate in activities that enhance the lives of individuals and encourage their participation and contribution within the community.
  • Assist other members of the service team in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual programs.
  • Provide practical support to colleagues in direct care activities.

Requirements

  • National Police Check required.
  • Employment-related Screening Check required.
  • Some out-of-hours work may be required.
  • Must hold a current Australian-issued driver's license (equivalent to minimum class C).
