This role is for an asphalt technician to carry out testing and analysis in a laboratory setting. The successful candidate will have experience working with construction materials, specifically asphalt and aggregates.
The key responsibilities of the job include:
- Carrying out various tests on asphalt and aggregates to ensure they meet industry standards
- Analyzing and interpreting test results to provide accurate data
- Calibrating equipment to ensure it operates correctly
- Setting up and maintaining equipment to prevent downtime
- Assisting the technical team with any tasks or projects as required
The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques and at least 2 years' experience in Construction Materials Testing or a similar field. They should also have strong literacy and numeracy skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently without close supervision.
