About the Role:
Child Protection Counselling Services (CPCS) are a trauma-specific service responding to violence, abuse, and neglect. The overarching purpose is to work towards safety from harm for the child/young person and their family members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counselling sessions with children and young people, focusing on maintaining them in their family where possible.
- Develop and implement trauma-informed care plans for children and young people, ensuring comprehensive care through collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
- Relevant Australian standard qualification in social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Current Australian working rights.
- Confidence in working with vulnerable populations, including children and young people affected by trauma.
