Providing Spiritual Support and Care to Individuals in Need is a Rewarding Career Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Chaplain. This role involves providing pastoral and spiritual support to residents, clients, staff, and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pastoral Care Services: Provide appropriate pastoral care in response to needs and referrals, assessing and evaluating spiritual needs to enhance fulfillment.
  • Service Coordination: Coordinate responses to needs through direct provision or arranging other relevant services.
  • Relationship Building: Develop collaborative relationships with staff and volunteers involved in care and provide support to family members ensuring a team approach to pastoral and spiritual care.
  • Clinical Pastoral Education: Prepare weekly church services embracing multi-faith perspectives, conduct memorial services as required, and develop local resources for end of life scenarios.
  • Liaison and Partnerships: Liaise with organisations of other religions to arrange services, promoting holistic, person-centred care.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE): Completion of CPE or equivalent desirable.
  • Pastoral Experience: Experience in pastoral care, preferably within an aged care or health setting.
  • Impartial Ministry: Able to exercise impartial pastoral ministry regardless of race, creed, or faith, including awareness of core tenets of major world religions.
  • Dementia Care: Experience working with those with dementia.
  • Pastoral Training: Pastoral or theological training or qualifications.
  • Pastoral Reference: A pastoral reference.
