Senior Structured Finance Professional

The Sydney-based Structured Finance division of a globally recognised financial services organisation is seeking an exceptional and commercially astute professional to join their team.

This leadership-focused role offers exposure to complex securitisation and structured credit transactions across multiple asset classes, providing opportunities for growth and development.

As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of high-profile transactions, lead analytical workstreams, and play a key role in shaping opinions and market commentary across Australia and New Zealand.

The position provides both local and Asia-Pacific exposure, global connectivity, and the chance to mentor junior staff while consolidating your career within a respected global institution.

  1. Lead the analysis and monitoring of structured finance and securitisation programmes, ensuring quality and timely outcomes.
  2. Oversee transaction performance and review complex financial models to support rigorous assessments.
  3. Prepare and review presentations, reports, and external market insights.
  4. Presentation of recommendations to senior committees and external stakeholders.
  5. Act as primary contact for arrangers, investors, issuers, and advisers, representing the business in the market.
  6. Mentor junior team members and support their technical development.
  7. Drive strategic initiatives, thought leadership, and cross-border collaboration within the Asia-Pacific team.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • 7–10 years' experience in structured finance, ideally from a credit, risk, or analytics background at a bank, arranger, issuer, investor, trustee, or consultancy.
  • Deep knowledge of securitisation structures, transaction documentation, and financial modelling.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence to represent the firm externally.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience guiding and mentoring junior staff.
  • A relevant degree in finance, economics, or accounting; CA, CPA, or CFA qualifications highly regarded.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and ability to influence outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
