Occupational Health Specialist

About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing psychosocial risk and work design strategies across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement psychosocial risk and work design strategies
  • Support the delivery of health, safety, and wellness performance aligned with personal, team, and functional goals
  • Drive the development and implementation of programs focused on occupational health, wellness, injury prevention, injury management, and return to work
  • Conduct risk assessments and analyze tasks for potential psychosocial issues
  • Participate in incident investigations, especially those related to psychosocial or mental health injuries
  • Ensure compliance with state and Australian WHS legislation
  • Coordinate training and coaching for team members

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher in psychology, behavioural health, public health, health science, or a related field. They will also have at least 3 years of experience in an occupational setting, preferably with knowledge of Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety legislation.

  • Ability to develop and implement effective health, safety, and wellness initiatives
