Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Aquarist/Keeper to join our team at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast. As an integral member of our animal care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our marine animals. Your passion for aquatic husbandry and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences will make you a valuable asset to our organization.

Your key responsibilities will include maintaining Life Support Systems, monitoring water quality, and supporting the management of animal health. You will also have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of marine species and contribute to conservation initiatives that drive positive impact on the ocean ecosystem.

To succeed in this role, you will require a tertiary qualification in animal care and/or marine biology, as well as paid experience within an aquarium/aquaculture or zoological setting. Additionally, you must be able to demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and strong communication skills.

Requirements:
  • Paid experience within an aquarium/aquaculture or zoological setting
  • Tertiary qualifications in animal care and/or marine biology
  • Ability to maintain Life Support Systems and monitor water quality
  • Experience in supporting the management of animal health
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
