Job Description

This is a Permanent Full Time Behaviour Support Practitioner role in the Newcastle region.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work in a multi-disciplinary model with a range of allied health professionals to understand customer needs and goals and provide tailored support to meet these.

A Day in the Life of a Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Assist customers, their families and support teams to identify their needs through assessment and individual planning, to develop meaningful goals and practical strategies to support customers to meet their goals in their home and community.
  • Work in a multi/trans-disciplinary model with a range of allied health professionals to provide a holistic and integrated approach to supports.
  • Provide clinical knowledge, expertise and support to individuals, families and support staff.
  • Handle complex case management.
  • Develop positive, collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders.
