Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at IPAR. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping individuals with physical and psychological injuries to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong clinical background in occupational therapy, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with clients, employers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to support clients in achieving return to health and return to work outcomes;
  • Work with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive support;
  • Work across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
  • Assist clients in achieving return to health and return to work outcomes through a variety of assessments and interventions.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work or Physiotherapy;
  • Registration with AHPRA or ASORC or ESSA or AASW or relevant governing body;
  • Previous experience working in occupational rehabilitation industry highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders;
  • Compassion and kindness, with empathy and understanding of clients' needs;
  • Well-developed time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks;
  • Current valid Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
