Job Title: Director of Bioprocessing

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Bioprocessing to lead our bioprocessing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling up viral vector production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Development:
    • Design, develop, and optimize viral vector production processes to meet quality and regulatory standards.
    • Develop robust and scalable processes for clinical and commercial manufacturing.
    • Optimize upstream and downstream processes, including cell culture, transfection, purification, and formulation.
    • Oversee the development, optimization, qualification, and validation of critical Quality Control assays.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Stay updated on industry trends in viral vector production technologies and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and yield.
    • Provide technical leadership and training to team members.
    • Support the design and execution of lentiviral vector (LVV) and adeno-associated viral vector (AAV) process development research programs.
    • Translate research findings into practical solutions focusing on process development and commercial opportunities.
    • Analyse experimental data and prepare technical reports.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to align process development with product and regulatory requirements.
    • Serve as a key technical contact with stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee project timelines, resources allocation, and budgets to meet development goals.
    • Ensure all activities are documented and comply with cGMP.
