About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for a senior speech pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team.

As a senior speech pathologist, you will play a key role in shaping the future of community care by providing expert clinical care and contributing to service development.

You will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patients in community and residential care settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Intervention: Provide high-quality assessment, intervention, and evaluation services to patients with complex communication needs.
  • Clinical Leadership: Act as a clinical reference point for the team, providing expert advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Service Development: Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities that promote best practice in speech pathology.
  • Mentorship and Supervision: Supervise, educate, and mentor less experienced clinicians, students, and allied health assistants.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering complex speech pathology services with a strong evidence-based approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across disciplines, patients, and carers.
  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage complex caseloads in dynamic clinical environments.
  • Leadership capability with experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff and contributing to service improvement.
