About the Role
Lead the implementation of training and professional development activities for Forensic CYMHS clinicians based in North Queensland.
Develop a workforce development strategy focused on internal staff training, retention, and the attraction and recruitment of new staff.
Collaborate with the Forensic CYMHS leadership team to establish minimum training requirements for each service and facilitate opportunities to meet these requirements, including providing specialist forensic mental health training.
Ensure training meets best practice standards and reflects developments in forensic mental health and child and adolescent mental health.
Establish and maintain staff training records with regular review and evaluation to inform ongoing workforce and training needs.
Demonstrate knowledge and skills in providing specialist forensic mental health services to children and adolescents.
Provide specialist forensic mental health consultation and clinical services, advising on complex clinical issues and ensuring alignment with health service imperatives.
Apply advanced clinical knowledge to inform the development of the Forensic CYMHS workforce.
