Job Title

A leading finance executive is required to drive the strategic direction of our financial function. The successful candidate will provide leadership on all financial management issues, ensuring timely and accurate management information and analysis is provided to stakeholders.

About the Role

The role reports to the Director of Capability & Impact and involves managing the finance functions of a global not-for-profit humanitarian organisation. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing the strategic direction of the finance function, providing leadership on all financial management issues, and managing performance and building capability across the finance team.

  • Developing, implementing, and managing the strategic direction of the finance function
  • Providing leadership on all financial management issues within the organisation
  • Providing timely and accurate management information and analysis to stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory, legal, tax, and regulatory obligations and requirements
  • Managing all treasury matters, including forecasting and reporting of cash flow and investment function and risk
  • Overseeing the insurance program
  • Representing the organisation at international, national, and regional forums as required
  • Ensuring the organisation fully complies with Oxfam International standards
  • Developing and leading a high-performing team while maximising employee engagement and enablement

Requirements

The ideal candidate is CA/CPA qualified with an impressive track record and reputation as a high-achieving finance leader. They possess highly developed technical accounting skills and commercial acumen, as well as proven experience managing complex and high-level stakeholder relationships. The successful candidate must be a natural leader with a high degree of integrity and professionalism, able to engage effectively and build relationships at Board level and with senior executives and operational stakeholders.
