Deputy Principal Role Overview

St Mary's School is seeking a highly skilled and motivated educator to fulfill the role of Deputy Principal - Learning & Teaching. The successful applicant will have an ongoing teaching role.

Requirements:

  3. A deep understanding and passion for improving student outcomes.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills to build partnerships and enhance the welcoming atmosphere.
  5. Exceptional organisational experience to support leading and managing the school.
  6. Leadership skills to build strong links and maintain trust with the wider school community.
  7. Communication and interpersonal skills to engage staff, students, and families.
  8. Fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and high expectations across the school.
  9. Supporting the Principal with behaviour management strategies.
  10. Capacity to act as Principal during absence, ensuring smooth school operations.
  11. Delivering professional learning and building staff capacity.

Special Requirements:

  • A strong commitment to Catholic education and its ethos.
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education.
  • Full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
  • Appropriate qualifications including a Master's Degree.
